Food courts in East End of London

Food courts in East End of London

One of my all time favorite areas to hang out and enjoy the new trends and foods of the moment in London is definitely in East London at Brick Lane and Shoreditch. An area that is quickly transforming area and gentrifying, and in my opinion has become the hottest place for food, shopping, art and overall fun spots to hang out at the East End in London.

I really enjoyed exploring this area of East London, it always seems bustling with energy and fun things to see at every corner. In fact it almost seems like every old abandoned warehouse is almost being transformed overnight into the next upcoming gallery space, food eating zone or combination of gathering/shopping venues. That’s one of the fun things about seeing an area that is in constant flux, it’s filled with creative energy and good vibes that locals and tourist alike enjoy and gravitate to. I really love the  synergy, creative direction and individual small businesses that quickly come into being here.

What to see and do on the East End of London

The East End of London still maintains some of the old and re-purposed to hip and fun venues that has made this a very popular area for locals and tourist to explore and just hang out. Here are some of the cool spots and discoveries that I made on my recent tour of the Brick Lane and Shoreditch area of London. It feels like this area of East End is always evolving with so many secret spots in London happening here and becoming the fun places to hang out, dine and explore.

Check out the East London Graffiti

The entire East End of London is filled with amazing graffiti from local and well-known international graffiti artist who are making an impression on the district.  With their bold and graphic statements, some political while others create comical designs with a colorful and graphic images.  It’s fun to see Grafitti in different spots and unexpected areas on these old buildings which have been converted into hip places to explore and things to do in  Shoreditch and the Brick Lane neighborhood.

Sampling East End’s amazing food venues

It seems like every block you go down, there seems to be a new abandoned building being converted into an impromptu international food court with every nationality and food being prepared for sale.  If you’re looking for something truly unusual like Lithuanian food, Tibetan or amazing Moroccan cuisine, the eating venues at Brick Lane are fantastic to explore the many eating venues on the street.

Cool shopping in the East End of London

Shopping is one of the key activities walking through Brick Lane. On a nice long weekend, you can find a lot of impromptu vendors and displays of crafters, artists, clothing outfits and young entrepreneurs exhibiting very popular handmade or creative gifts on display for a quick sale. It’s all cash deals, but some of the better small businesses take credit cards to speed up more sales throughout the busy weekend periods. It’s fun to explore the entire area to find something unique and individual which most of these artists are trying to perfect in their products and art.
