Amazing Vegas resort swimming pools – Travel Photo Mondays
Needless to say there are so many amazing Las Vegas swimming pools in all the resorts lining the strip. Each are unique with their own wonderful attractions and fun activities. Covering a range of outdoor pools that are stylish and reserved to wave pools and inner tube rivers, there’s a full gamut of pools to accommodate every type of person. Now I didn’t get to see every single pool on the strip, but here are a few of my favorites that I was able to check out and take a quick tour:
Expansive pool areas at the Monte Carlo Hotel

The Monte Carlo resort is a family friendly hotel with over four swimming pools in its outdoor areas. The fun pools are the wave pools and the lazy river/inner tube float. The other two pools consist of an adults only pool and a large Olympic size pool. There are plenty of lounging areas including private cabanas that surround each pool. There is also a DJ station is situated close to the Wave pool and spins live music during open hours which makes it a lively environment to mix and mingle or just lounge by the pool.

The Cosmopolitan Pool
One of the swankier pools looked above the casino with views of the Las Vegas Strip, The Cosmopolitan Pool is the pool to see and be scene. Lively events are sponsored at the Cosmo for private affairs and you can also check out the pool or their signature spa called Sahra Spa and Hammam. The swimming pools at Aria are subdued and yet sublime. The two swimming rectangular pools are surrounding by chaise seating areas and cabanas are elevated with nice views of the entire scene and still private. A very refined environment – it’s all tasteful, including the fountain like jet sprays into the swimming pools. The family friendly pools are spacious and have pool attendants and lifeguards present at all times during open hours.

With Tuscan colors and ochre colored scenes reminiscent of villas in Tuscany or many other regions of Italy, the outdoor lounge areas and swimming pools are stunning to relax and wander through. The pools are laid out very well with lounge areas with higher cabanas for viewing and privacy. There are plenty of amenities available for guests including a very nice Spa located next to the pool areas. It would be very easy to spend an entire day relaxing outdoors at the pools in the Bellagio. It’s all a plush experience at the Bellagio, and the outdoor pool areas are the place to relax and live the Vegas lifestyle if only for a short time frame.

The outdoor pools and lounge areas at the Winn are expansive. The pools are connected to each other via water channels and seem to go on forever amid and endless supply of lounge chairs and very colorful, circus-like cabanas that are also elevated for privacy but command views of all the pools. It is definitely the largest of pools on the strip and filled with on site activities and water accessories to keep you and your family occupied all day long.

The rooftop pool at the Grand Hotel in Downtown Las Vegas is called Picnic and is basically an all adult type of pool and caters to a hip and party type of flavor and crowd. The lunch time and happy hour scenes are typically the busy time frames and to hang out at Picnic and enjoy the pool scene above downtown Las Vegas. As you can see the pool and outdoor lounge scene is part of the fun to enjoying resort activities at each hotel in Las Vegas. The tough question is, which one would you choose to enjoy for the afternoon or entire day?

A great collection of Vegas pools here Noel! I have stayed at Mandalay Bay before and the pool there was amazing with a wave pool and lazy river meandering around. Definitely a hot spot for folks to relax after a late night on the strip.
Great pool pics! A pool is vital for a trip to Vegas in my opinion. My favourite so far was the Wynn pool.
I loved visiting Las Vegas at Christmas and seeing the Christmas decorations. I’m not a drinker or gambler so I mainly see the sights and take photos. These swimming pools sure would be a nice place to see visit!
I’ve never been to Vegas, but it looks quite an amazing feat to build that lot in the middle of a desert!

Based on how you describe these pools, I think the Monte Carlo’s is the one for me. The kids would be so entertained that they’d leave me alone to relax.
They all look rather busy to me. I prefer a quiet pool, with a few shady spots to doze in, preferably without children and definitely without music! Is there one you recommend for me?

Great shots – Bellagio is one of my favorites. So many of the pools have been taken over by the 21 year olds…which includes my son.

The pools in Vegas are my fave! You can spend all day (and sometimes night!) there!
Opulent swimming pools – great pics like always, Noel! – like everything else in Las Vegas, to visit, but couldn’t think of living there – in the middle of nowhere (we pass it every time we go to Bryce Canon and Zion Nat. Park) and desert like weather!
Your photos make me want to fly to Las Vegas, slip into a bathing suit (after sipping a drink with an umbrella) and jump into one of those beautiful pools. But, I can’t decide between the ones where you can have fun or the ones where you can relax… !

We spent a very pampered afternoon at the VIP pool at Bellagio during a recent excursion. There is nothing like having a cabana AND a cabana boy bringing you umbrella drinks!

I like that first pool with the inner tube floats. I don’t think I’ve ever actually been in a pool in Vegas. Next visit I will change that.

Love your pics! The Monte Carlo pool area is surprisingly nice consider the hotel is more on the low-key side. Have you seen the pool area at the Hard Rock? It’s also really cool, definitely a party atmosphere.
I am enjoying Las Vegas through your lens. We have not been and am not sure that I want to, but seeing the action through your photos is the next best thing right? I prefer the natural water flow of ocean or rivers for swimming but am not averse to eating drinking and partying beside pools. 🙂 I would choose the Monte Carlo pool to party beside and might even jump in the Bellagio’s (or slip in elegantly as the case may call for). I also like the multiple pools and areas of the Aria. I am wondering if there will be any more Las Vegas posts.

I’ve visited Las Vegas a couple of times over the years. It is such a wonderful playground for the senses. The hotels and pools are all very beautiful and accommodating and your photos showed them in their best light! I am not a gambler but I enjoyed my visits there none the less!.
