Broadway for Orlando
I couldn’t think of anything to contribute, help or even write about this entire senseless tragedy with Orlando recently. It seemed like all the current news or any updates seemed to be spiralling into that endless cycle of clichéd hopes and prayers remarks and finger pointing and of course no action from our joint Congress to work in some way to protect our public safety. This really puts it out there to show how frustrating this entire situation is for the American people – each party pointing fingers and just not wanting to sit together and really work out on a solution that is permanent.
So to my surprise, I find that when people do work together to make a small change, it really creates magic and even love. This wonderful gathering of Broadway’s best stars singing an old and favorite Burt Bacharach tune ( “What the World Needs Now is Love Sweet Love”) really sinks in and makes you feel the music and lyrics – and Broadway does this with so much panache. I loved every minute of this and the video creating the song is exceptional to watch – here it is below.

The only thing I can think of in making a positive contribution is to ask my readers to please support this cause and download the iTune song or contribute what you can. I loved how Broadway did this in the pure spirit of creativity and love – now I’m asking you to please do something positive and download this wonderful song and supporting those in need with the LGBT community in Orlando. 100% of the proceeds will support the LGBT Community Center of Central Florida. So if you want to buy the song, please buy it at the Broadway.com site.
Thanks so much for doing this and making a small impact for the positive, and if you know this song – sing it as loud as you can! Also, if you enjoyed the post, please do share it with all your family and friends and thanks so much for visiting today.

What a beautiful way to contribute and pay your respects. Thanks so much for sharing.
Aw, wow, what a great way to pay respect to the victims!
I’m surprised that this isn’t viral. What a beautiful tribute.
Terrible tragedy that should make us think about many things in life, specially in what our politicians are doing for decades, motivating people to get guns easily and to hate each other thru wars and multi-ethnical conflicts around the globe. I’m very sorry for all this people.
This is so inspiring. The tragedy in Orlando struck as all. It’s getting pretty nerve-wracking to turn on the news and hear about such tragedies on a daily basis. The world is just too full of evil
Such a terrible tragedy. It is inspiring when groups of people like this get together and make something beautiful out of such pain. Thanks for sharing…
Absolutely beautiful. I live North of Orlando, but was out of the country when the tragedy occurred. It was a gut punch, and made me realize how small the world is, and how unpredictable these tragedies can be. The danger was supposed to be in Paris for the Euro Cup.
I was in Orlando when the Pulse nightclub shootings happened, less than 9 miles from where we were staying. Such an awful tragedy. Will share your post for you.
It’s such a horrendous tragedy and the title of this song says it all – thanks for letting us know about it
