San Francisco Christmas and a holiday greeting

Where has the year gone I wonder?  I’m back in San Francisco visiting friends and family for the holidays and it’s both wonderful and strange to be celebrating Christmas so soon with end of the year passing through so quickly. Fortunately the rainy weather that has been a blessing for the California drought has cleared up with beautiful blue skies for the holiday season in the Bay Area. I love exploring the city especially dressed up for the holidays – this time I enjoyed using my cell phone which is not my typical way of capturing the city but it was easy especially when I just want to enjoy the views and quickly snap a few pics for any stories.

Here are some highlights of Christmas season in my favorite city by the bay:

I love being outdoors when I can spend some time around the beaches or coastal areas around the city. Baker and China beach are so close to where I typically stay and the San Francisco headlands are so stunning with views of the Golden Gate Bridge.

I loved this tree at the cathedral with the creation of the 1000 cranes and what it represents for the holidays and wishes for the New Year.
