Yoga in Hawaii resort style
There’s something refreshing and wonderful about connecting to yourself – body and spirit when your on vacation or even a short get-away. Doing yoga especially at a wonderful resort or inspiring place that has open spaces to connect internally is a great way to build inner strength, stretch your body and even engage in mild cardio techniques while traveling or on vacation.
Early morning with some of my favorite yoga friends, we decided to get up early after sunrise and do some wonderful stretches and yoga positions at the great Buddha along the bluffs of the Hilton Waikoloa on the Big Island. A very scenic and isolated spot on the resort, the bluff is a gorgeous grassy area that is perfect for yoga or just contemplating and enjoying the views in a quiet environment.
It was not to busy and we had most of the area to ourselves so I asked my friends to show us some of their morning stretches and other yoga techniques at this inspiring place ( I also wanted to take pictures especially since I knew I couldn’t catch up with all their fluid poses)
Here are some of the mornings photo highlights
What do you think – a beautiful place to do yoga right? It doesn’t hurt to have some friends that are experts and know how to work with a photographer and make it look so easy and it was a fun exercise doing this with some of my friends. Plus I got away with just doing the photographs so we all looked great!

First, gorgeous photos, as usual. Crisp, rich colors, interesting subject, gorgeous scenery. I would like to knowwho is hosting your blog or are you self-hosting? I just started a new blog on Blogspot — Google because I can’t access my blog from this “resort” on Cape Cod (long sad story of a vacation gone bad). So I thought that maybe it wouldn’t be so bad to not keep all my eggs in one virtual basket. I love the way you blog looks and how beautifully the photographs display without compromising the ability to read the text.
I have the blog hosted through Hostgater…low monthly fee and no pro lems to mai tain
