Vegas night scenes on the strip – Travel Photo Mondays
It’s Monday morning, time to enjoy some gorgeous travel photography and inspiration from around the world. Let’s banish those Monday blues by sharing beautiful imagery and personal story telling. Night time is when sin city comes alive with all the glitz and glamour that you’d expect from this city whose motto really lives up to its motto ” What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” The brilliance of the night scape and dazzling lights really put on a spectacular show even if your walking down the strip, which it seems every night is filled with thousands of thrill seekers checking the night-time scenes.
From an above vantage point
There’s nothing like seeing the entire strip from a vantage point above. Hanging out at the Cosmopolitan swimming pool for a travel conference, it was fun to check out the crowds below walking through the strip, although the party scene up at the pool was also fun with open bars, food stations and a cool band. Check out the pool scene below and some of the flashy interiors at the Cosmopolitan.

Can’t get any more glitzy than Liberace’s diamond studded Rolls Royce

Downtown Vegas – It’s live!
Downtown Vegas is a different vibe, it’s totally retro cool with these older casinos turned hip with their old school neon lights and night-time scene happening with the Fremont Street Experience. It seems like everything is happening all at once when you enter the Fremont Street promenade with live acts everywhere, go-go dancers shaking their booties on top of outdoor bars, live bands singing and people zipping overhead through a course beneath the largest video screen projecting electric light shows. It’s almost over the top and on hyper drive walking through the promenade.
In East Fremont street, things are a little more subdued but just as lively with the hipster crowd hanging out at popular bars, eateries and nightclubs. All the small casinos on this side have been converted to cool hangout spots for locals and tourist to enjoy something truly unique and exciting in this revitalized area.

Night time Scene from my room
I think by far my favorite late night-time scene is from my fantastic room at the Monte Carlo Hotel on the strip and looking out on the spectacular City Center on the strip. My bed was all the comfort I would ever want in Vegas, but it also came with an amazing living room and kitchen. The bathrooms were huge including a large Jacuzzi whirlpool in the bedroom area overlooking these magnificent views. Needless to say I really enjoyed the views and soaking after a very long day touring Sin City all day and night.
Here’s my absolute favorite shot of the day, because I was in heaven the minute my head hit those soft pillows. Good night from the Monte Carlo and sweet dreams for Travel Photo Mondays. Please do visit the bloggers below participating today.

Your night shots of Vegas are incredible. I don’t drink or gamble in Vegas – I go there to take photos 😉 The view from your room is stunning!
Fab pics, Noël. Vegas is indeed a photographer’s playground. Something intriguing, colourful and exciting at every turn.
We saw the neon graveyard during the day, but seeing it night would be even better – wow. Our son manages the musical water display at the Bellagio, so we visit Vegas often. Now you’ve shown me something I want to see again all lit up.
Yes it is a cool place to explore at night time, I’m going to do another post on the boneyard
Great photos! The bright lights alone are reason enough to make me want to visit Vegas! Didn’t know all the dfferent areas had their own vibe though – would love to check them all out!
You definitely caught the glammer and lights of Vegas. I can feel the beat of the city from your photos.
These photos definitely make me want to get back to Vegas! I especially want to get to the neon museum and to downtown. I didn’t get a chance to go last time I was there. I’d love to do some time-lapse photography in Las Vegas as well. Are you into time-lapse at all?
This reminds me of the movie I watched this weekend, “Last Vegas.” Great shots! Here are some of my fave places in this crazy city, http://travelswithcarole.blogspot.com/search/label/Las%20Vegas
I think I’ll skip that straight roller coaster way up atop a building that I saw in the movie. Eeeekkkk!
Vibrant and brim full of life! The total opposite of my walk today, Noel. It takes all kinds to make a world. 🙂
I love neon and this photo discovery of Las Vegas had enough to meet my needs for a while! I”m not a Vegas kinda gal so I can just enjoy it this way without having to actually go there. Dirty job for you but someone has to do it!
I didn’t think I would enjoy Vegas, but there is really a lot things to see and do outside of the casino world
Great photos, as always. Especially like the old downtown stuff.
Oh Vegas! …the city where I go to visit my parents believe it or not 🙂 Love the night shots, really captures the energy and essence of the strip and surrounding area.
Talk about glitz and glamour. My hairdresser recently went to Vegas and absolutely loved it. I have never been to Vegas or to anywhere like it, if there is anywhere like it! I like the look of Downtown Vegas. Great photo of the Go Go Dancer.
Hi Noel, Wow, looked like you had a rocking travel conference. The view from your room is awesome. Thanks for bringing us the glitz of Vegas. I can feel the city’s energy in each image. I enjoyed the variety of scenes. Great night shots.
Wow, how dazzling! Only know Las Vegas from during the day, when driving through to Utah:)
I love how you captured the spirit and energy of Vegas at night! That limo driven by Liberace is priceless!
Love the old school neon. The Neon Museum was a favorite. The downtown area has such a nice vibe now.
You really captured the glitter, glitz, neon and decadence of Las Vegas, Noel.
I have to confess that I really dislike Las Vegas—-probably my Puritanical streak nurtured by growing up in Philadelphia. Quakers aren’t the most “exciting” denomination in the world. However, your photos certainly do it justice.
WOW! Your photos are superb. You really captured the glitz, glitter and neon perfectly!!
I could feel it, hear it, smell it and the buzz of excitement and anticipation was hanging heavy around me! I’ve never been and I wonder what a small town girl would make of all that razmatazz and glitter! I think she’d like it, actually! Fabulous fabulous night-time photography, Noel.
Great Vegas night scenes. I particularly like Fremont Street – such a fun experience.
You’ve captured one of our favorite places well. I could almost hear the noise and feel the vibration in these photos, Noel.
Some lovely night shots of the city, so much glitz and sparkle. Not a big fan of Vegas based on my one visit, but I think I should give it another shot:)
Noel, I love, love, love doing night shots and I’ve always wanted to go to the Neon museum!
And also, Noel, thanks for once again linking up with Weekend Travel Inspiration!
